Harbak cave!

Wonderful day! Sun is inviting us to go outside again. But today, instead of taking you for a walk like we did last time ( A day walk), we are going to drive one and a half hour to visit a cave inside of a mountain.
But of course we must not forget to look around for treasure as we drive along the road.

First stop is to take picture of this lake. But no swimming, the water is too cold.

And then we are going to drive through this tunnel.

A nice church...but we are not going inside this time. Just passing by.

This place is like a pearl to me. A treasure. Don't you think so?

The road is very narrow. I don't feel well in place like this. But the sight is amazing!

Guess what, we are not alone on the road. The sheeps har the right to be there too.

At last we arrive at the foot of the mountain. Ready to explore.

On the way to the top... Awesome!

More treasure to see!

I just wanna lay down on top of these wild flowers. Would you join me?

Anyway, after walking half an hour, we found out that we were not on the right track. So, we went back, rest for a while and  eat something before we can continue the hike. And guess what, the cave is just up on  my right side. It's 30 meter over sea level.

Want to climb up the stairs with me?

And the entrance to the dark, wet and scary cave.

At the right is a book where the visitors can write their names. We are one of them now.

It is so dark inside and although we have flashlights, still it's scary.

I don't think that we should go down there. Will you?

How about on this side?

This hole?

I believe it is better to turn around. I am not so brave, you know. Oh the light.  How I love to see the light. Saved!

At last, free again!

One last look at the top of the cave. See the big rock up there? I just coudn't imagine if this huge rock falls down on our heads. For me, it will me my first and my last to visit this cave. By the way this cave is 130 meter deep and has a ceiling heigt of 30-40m. And we were  maybe just 100 meter from the entrance. But. that was enough for me. How about you?

Anyway, we had seen a lot of treasure today. The rest will be on my next post. Hope to see you there too!
JOY

  9. Hi Ms. Joy!

I'm scared of caves too, feeling ko kasi laging may snakes and spiders kaya malamang bungad lang din ako ng cave :)

I'm sure dami ng pumunta so safe at walang crawling creatures hehe. I remember these sheeps in Lofoten, whenever we pass by a flock of them, hubby will say.. "Fårikål!" tawa kami sobra fave ko kasi yun.
