The beauty at sea!

Yes, my hubby is home again. So back to fishing . We don't sell fish actually. It is just for our own food and for reacreation.
Anyway, I just want to show you the beauty at sea too.

This is a reflection on the seawater of the sail of a sailboat.

Reflection of the sun. Looks like glitterinng diamomds!

                                                  The waves

Those that are floating on the water like  sea grass...

A wonderful day!

Wonderful day means sun is up and out for a walk with my hubby! Come and join us!

We are going to the " Troll Skogen." (Troll forest)

A painted snake on the ceiling. No reason to be afraid.

But this one is real:(

Say hello to the stone dog who is guarding the forest.

Let us have a coffe break!

This is how it looks like inside the forest!

Time to go out from the forest and pick some wild berries. Delicious!

Enjoy the beauty of the wild flowers!

Mushrooms along the path!

This mushroom looks like a skull to me!

Someone is having a good time out in the sun:)

Flowers made of stone!

The wheat is ready for harvest!

The view!

Not everything though is beautiful . This cave is dangerous to explore.

Now we are at the end of our walk. Thank you for joining us:)

The joys of the month!

I just want to cheer you up this weekend for a change or maybe cheer me up because lately, troubles, problems and heartaches seems to hunt me.
So I searched for the brighter sides of life like these flowers around.

I was planning to invite my mother-in-law for a dinner because I haven't seen her lately, but she called and invited me and my daughter for dinner. We grabbed of course the opportuniny. To our delight she served mouth watering dinner to us.  How lucky I am to have someone like her nearby especially when my mother lives far away from me.

Found these flowers to cheer you up again:)

Anyway, one weekened, I was invited to Rowena's birthday celebration. When I came, everybody was very silent. I didn't know that a friend who was there just lost the father of her kids. I couldn't help it but cry with her. But we try to be merry too for the sake of the birthday celebrant.

And here are the forever young girls or we just want to be forever young:)

It seems that  these ladies just wanted to have fun. Weekend after, we were invited by Ronna in her place for a Barbecue Party. She and the other ladies prepared lots of Philippines foods, as you can see.

This is Ronna and the poor pig who gave her life for us.

Ronna's scupltures fascinates me. It came from our homecountry.

Sunset that evening!

Then weekend after that, it was Doreen's birthday. Me and Rowena caught her with her apron and asked her to pose with us.

Then the rest of the gang came. See how happy we were  although we experience battles in our lives too.

Flowers for Dorren!

She prepared typical Philippine's foods, so we forgot that we were on a diet.

But the star of the evening was Per. Ophelia's hubby. He put on a wig that made the ladies laugh.
It was a very nice evening that we will cherished.  Thank you ladies . Until the next gathering again:)

Meet my new husband!

Are you shock? New husband? But this is how it began. In the Activity center where I work, I try to make something out of what the elderly manage to knit. I then sewed together knitted squares of different colors,  knitted  a head, sewed  hair of yarn  and put eyes, nose and mouth on it. Then an elderly saw what I made and ask me if I made myself a new husband. I answered her " yes." That is why a new husband for me was born. The elderly gave him a name which is " Kalle Lazarus". So say hello to my new husband:) But, this new husband of mine belongs to the activity center. The elderly said that we can use my husband as a prize for a lottery that we used to have at work. So I hope I win this time:) By the way, an elderly knitted the scarf for my husband.

                                                    Kalle Lazarus

Anyway, one day I was out for a walk with an elderly and we went to a shopping mall. We found  a lot of interesting things as you can see.

Meet the the hens and the chickens!

Actually, these are not for sale. They are only models. If one is interested, the shop sells materials and instructions how to do these figures.

Guess what? I found these couple very interesting.  Meet Mr. and Ms. Santa

I thought of my mother-in-law who is very fond of these creatures, so I bought materials for Ms.
Santa. I thought that I can try to make this one as a gift to the mother of my husband for Christmas. Since I don't know how long it will take me to knit Ms. Santa, I started at once so that it would be finished before Christmas.

So these  are  some of the different parts before I crotheted the sweater and the laces. After that I washed the pieces in the washing machine so that it would shrink according to the instruction.

After a week, I have now a finished product:)  My knitted Ms. Santa is a litlle bit chubby than the original, but I was satisfied with what I did. I hope my mother-in-law will like it.

Anyway, I was so inspired making stuff toys, so I made some more. Meet my doggies.

I crocheted the different parts before I sewed them together.

So this is Pluto

This is Estella. The elderly gave them the names:)

Mother and the puppy.

Right now, I am making a kangaroo. You will meet her soon:)
