Yes, it is December month and Christmas Fair is everywhere here in Norway. People who knitted, crocheted, made cards and lot of things all year round to be sold at the fair for a good cause. Some baked Christmas cookies, made homemade jams and the list is endless.
But why this is so special for me this time?
It was because it was held in the Activity center where I work. The purpose was to bring joy to the nursing home. We invited relatives, friends, co-workers to join our Christmas fair.
I was so excited that I just slept one hour that night, but it didn't matter.
I put on my Christmas outfit and start the day by preparing the coffee table.
One by one, the creative ladies with their handcrafts arrived and arranged their homemade products on the tables.
I fell in love with the green knitted blouse made of wool. I bought it and wore it today at work.
Baby Beanies and Scarfs
The young ones did their homework too:)
I love these bunnies and they were sold in no time!
Decorated boxes
Very nice Patchworks
Pot holders in many colors
Homemade jewelties, crocheted small Christmas things and sweet nuts
Cream and lotions
Felted slippers and mittens
My sister homemade jams
Handpaintings of Zodiac signs and felted wineholder. They look like witches, but sweet!
And the best was the free entertainment. These kind people came and sung Christmas songs to everyone's delight.
They made us clapp with our hands and tramp with our feet:)
See the smiling faces!
How about you?
Have you been to a Christmas Fair lately?
Leaving you this verse:
So do not throw away your confidence;
it will be richly rewarded.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God,
you will receive what He has promised.
Hebrews 10: 35-36
JOY
ang ganda mommy joy! Naiiyak sa tuwa ang puso ko! tamang tama yan sa lamig ng panahon dyan at wala talagang amount of money na katumbas sa ngiti ng mga kasamahan mo sa nursing home. whenever i hopped sa blog mo, ito talaga ang nagpaparemind sa akin that life is so wonderful na kailangan natin itreasure bawat oras. meron ganyan dito mommy joy bago lang pero mga products naman bawat municipality parang fair din kasi binebenta nila dagdag income sa kanilang cooperative or sa sarili nila.
