With God, Nothing Is Impossible

A younger sister of mine is a nurse, and a few months ago she cared for a woman who was born with severe physical disabilities. She has no feet and only one finger. Yet she walks using her shortened legs and accomplishes remarkable things with her shortened arms and that single finger.

What is truly amazing about this woman is not her disability, but what she has accomplished despite it. She works as a social worker, drives her own car, manages her own business, and has even published a book that she wrote herself.

Her life did not begin easily. As a baby, she was placed in an orphanage by her biological parents. Later, she was adopted by a loving family who cared for her and encouraged her. Through the years, her faith in God became the source of her strength. Eventually, she was reunited with her biological parents, and today they have a good relationship.

When I heard her story, I couldn't help but admire her courage.

Most of us would consider living with such physical challenges to be one of life's greatest struggles. Yet this woman refused to let her circumstances define her. Instead of focusing on what she lacked, she chose to make the most of what God had given her.

She reminds me of the words God spoke to the apostle Paul:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Paul responded by saying that he would gladly boast in his weaknesses so that Christ's power might rest on him. This woman's life beautifully illustrates that truth. Her weakness became a stage on which God's strength could be displayed.

Many of us have healthy bodies, sound minds, and stable emotions, yet we still find reasons why we cannot do what God is calling us to do. We often allow our limitations, fears, or feelings of inadequacy to become excuses.

But the Bible reminds us that God does not simply look at what we lack—He looks at what He can do through willing hearts.

Moses thought his poor speech disqualified him (Exodus 4:10-12). Gideon believed he was too weak (Judges 6:15-16). Jeremiah felt too young (Jeremiah 1:6-8). Yet God used each of them in extraordinary ways because they trusted Him.

Likewise, God has given every one of us gifts, talents, and opportunities. He does not expect us to have everything. He simply asks us to faithfully use what He has already placed in our hands.

This remarkable woman had every reason to give up. Instead, she trusted God, persevered, and accomplished things many able-bodied people never do. Her life is an inspiration to everyone who faces difficulties.

Perhaps our greatest disability is not physical at all—it is unbelief. When we believe that God can work through us, even our weaknesses can become opportunities for His glory.

As the apostle Paul declared:

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)

So whatever challenges you may be facing today, don't give up. God is not limited by your limitations. He delights in working through ordinary people who place their trust in Him.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
**Romans 8:28

 Someone said: “ Only those who admit their weakness can be strong in the Lord.” 

Jesus said: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

So friends, with faith in God, we can do the impossible!
