Angels in disguise!

Do you believe in angels? Angels who God sends to be able to assist you in your battles in life? I do!
I had witnessed that God really uses people ( angels in disguise) when I really needed a helping hand, an inspiration or when I am alone.
Last night, it give me the inspiration to make this angel.
So to all the angels that God are sending in my life. This is for you all!

Some days ago, I made this crocheted doll for my sister's grandchild. I am going to give this doll to her when I visit them in the Philippines in March. I call this doll " Yangyang" The name my sister calls her granddaughter:)

Lastly, I am leaving you this thought that came ito my mind yesterday when I needed it.
SMILE! People can dissappoint you, but keep smiling because there is still someone who appreciate you and gives you the reason to SMILE!

Not giving up?

    Linking with Spiritual Sundays

Do you have the feelings sometimes that no matter what you do or say, it seems no one care or recognize your effort and you cannot even get support from the people you thought should be supporting you? I do...and God reminded me that it is not the recognition or support from other people that is important. As long as He recognize and appreciate what I am doing for His Kingdom...it is all I need. Even if no one reads my blogpost when I share God's inpiring words..God did. Even though no one read and hit like when I share prayers in Facebook....God do so and read and like what I am doing.

Good to be reminded that God is into a person who wants to be an example of what can happen when He gets hold on human life, who aches to to see others bought to deeper knowledge of God and His word and who don't buy the lies of the world.

    My prayer

Dear God, I pray that You won't let me give up although it seems that no one cares ...To be loyal in everything I do in your name. To be humble and let You be lifted up in my life. I pray that whatever I do, it will be worthy of respect so that I won't bring disgrace Your name. Be always friendly although someone do wants to harm me. Able to help or inspire. Let me manage well what You entrusted me and let the truth always comes from my mouth. I pray in Jesus name.

The eyes of the heart!

The eyes of the heart!

Are you one of those who feels that you want to quit?

Want to give up?
Too much hassles and dissapointments.
Discouragement piles up and you are tempted to forget the whole thing?
 Sometimes everything can overwhelming.
Too much of this and that.
Then it is about time we fix our eyes on Jesus....

so that we will not grow weary and loose heart.
Maybe you will say:" How can we focus our eyes on Jesus that we couldn't see?"
Then we pray to God to give us the discerning eyes. To look with the eyes of our hearts. So, instead of giving up our circumstances, we could see the works of Jesus in every situation we encounter everyday.
If our burdens are too heavy to carry, give them to Jesus....have faith that everything is going to be alright.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day!

Being creative!

Hello everyone! We are in the middle of the week again and time goes so fast when one has a lot of things to do. And I am privileged to be given the chance to do what makes me happy

How about you? What have you been doing lately that made you happy?

This week, I have been to water aerobic and a dance group as an exercise for my body.

In my spare time I make stuffed toys as you can  see sold to the activity center where I work.

This is Sigurd the sheep

This is Ulrika Uglvin

I baked this to be served to the elderly

I made cards of my photos. There are some of them.

Ending this post with a quote.

No one arrive from being talented alone. God gives talent;
work transforms talent into genius.

Are you listening?

Heart&hearing

Are you listening?
Do you have problem listening? I too, sometimes. For many reasons like: My mind wanders…thinking of other things that should be done…thinking that I already know what others are talking about or I am not interested in the topic….maybe because  the talker is saying foul languages…or because the dialect is difficult to understand, maybe talking about people I don’t even know. Many reasons not to be attentive of what others are saying.
Can you relate? Are you still there?

We are surrounded with sounds everywhere. Sounds that soothing for our ears or sounds that annoys us.  People who wanted to be heard or to be recognized. Facebook friends…twitter friends….blog friends…families…each and every one has this longing to be heard, including us.

But how about listening from God? The most important person in the universe. Our Creator who made everything for us. Who died for us.  Are you listening? I am listening?  Although we may admit, it or not…many times we prefer to hear from this world than to hear from God’s living word. We have many excuses like:  we had read the Bible many times and we already know the story…we don’t understand everything that was written in the book of life…it is so boring to read the Bible or maybe we just don’t believe that the Bible is the truth. Then we don’t tune our ears to God. But maybe some  don’t have problem listening to gossips…foul languages….green jokes….bad news….killings….rapes…sex talks……war, catastrophes and so on. Why is it that the evil language entices many than God’s language? So tragic!
Are you ok with this?

Actually the problem is not God or his book of life. The problem is we. Our reluctantness or willingness to listen and to dig the treasures that are hidden in God’s precious written words. Our hearts desires instead to go on it’s own way. Reading God’s words or spending time with God might interfere our heart’s desires that we choose not to listen. Then we make excuses that God is love anyway and that He will forgive us no matter what. We thought that life is great without God. Is that so?
How about you? Which way you want to go? Way to life or way to death?
Actually, if we take more time to listen to God and his words, we will discover that all what we need to know is there. It is the way to the truth and the life. The road to success, victory over evil and difficulties in life.

I am not saying that we must close our ears from this world or people that we meet every day and everywhere. But, if we had taken time to listen to God, we will have the wisdom to discern what profits us or not. God will give us understanding how we can protect us from the noise of this world. Our hearts desires will change and it will be filled with God’s perfect love that never fails. We will reach to mankind, to help, to contribute and to spread God’s unfailing love and not go down together with those who soak themselves in mud pit.  I am not judging…it is not my job. God loves everyone…but not everyone loves God.
So, are you still listening?

We want to be wise, isn’t it? Then we ought to listen to the one who gives wisdom. He has more than enough to give.

Father, let our ears be tune in to you and not the cares of this world. Fill our hearts with joy as we listen to you. Lift up our downcast souls and let us experience your heavenly presence so that we will not seek gratification from places that brings us to destruction. Thank you for always listening to the cry of our hearts and for knowing our thoughts. Fill our minds with your wisdom and our hearts with your desires so that we won’t bring disgrace to your name. I pray in Jesus name.

What do you think?

Have you been to an art gallery and tried to analized a painting or a drawing?
I wonder what the artists were thinking when they were making these arts?
Does these painting show who they are?
Whay does these paintings do to you?

Like this one: Maybe the painter longs for summer, peace and relaxation? Makes us longs for the same?

sleepy or sad? Longing for something?

a person with different characters? Sending different messages?

a woman with a black side?

Someone who wants to ride and hide?

a happy artist

the dark and the light sides of life

After the day...then the night?

  Colorful and mystical woman?

I think she is happy!

How about you?

How these paintimgs made you feel? Do you like any of them?

Cards that touched my heart!

Yes. I know that Christmas is over, but I received these cards after Christmas and
these cards are the best gifts  I receive last Christmas. Words that warmed my heart and made me very happy. Words that made me missed my loved ones in the Philippines even more. But soon, I will be there to visit them.

This card is from my first daughter Chelsea

What she wrote made me cry, but I really appreciate all her efforts and love for me.

And her children Zimon and Zyrish wrote some words to me where they thanked me for the Christmas gifts that I had given them and said that they will study hard because I am their example. I am really proud of them.  They also said that they love me and misses me. Well, the feeling is mutual!

And this card I received from Ethan, my fifth grandchild. He made this card and he also thanked me for the gifts and said that he loves me too. Made grandma very happy too.

Anyway, they thought me a lesson. Here I am making too many cards, but I didn't send any cards to them. Well, for the reason that I tried many times before and in one way or another, they didn't received the cards. Maybe, I can just give cards to  them when visit them in March:)

Just want to thank them for remembering their grandma and showing their love to me in their own lovable ways.

Books of my life!

Have you worked so hard lately and accomplished what you had dreaming for in many years? Or did you make something that you thought you deserved all the credits.
Maybe you just got  a degree, wrote a book, paint a masterpiece, or survived a crisis in life.

I don't know what other people think, but in blogworld, many who had gone to the top. Maybe we can call it luck or maybe they really worked so hard to reach the top. Do they take all the credits to themselves? I believe that without others ( readers) they wouldn't be there either. Those that write books...they too need to get inspiration from others and what they see, hear and observes.  I do write story, but story of my life that I wrote in my blog and after three years, I now have ten books of what I wrote. Not that I am now selling those books,  but it will be my memoirs for my descendants. So when I am nowhere to be found, they can get to know me by the books that I am going to leave behind.

If you want to make your blogposts into a book, this is the linkhttp://info.blogg.no/1413207963_n_kan_du_lage_bok_av_.html. It is a Norwegian website.

These are five of ten books, but my story does not end there yet because I am still here on earth. The contents of these books are not only about my life, but my family, my devotions and prayers, my walk with God and everything under the sun.

Funny to think that when I came to Norway, I didn't even have an education and didn't even dream that I could write...but with God's help I am managed to get a degree, a job and I must say accomplished much.

But in all that I or you accomplished, who really deserves the credit?
Today in my morning devotion, I read Daniel 4:28-37 where King Nebuchadnezzar took all the credit for everything he had built. But God talked to him and humbled him by taking away the kingdom he had build. Then he learned the lesson.

Maybe we feel like King Nebuchadnezzar. Taking the credit of what we had done. But I believe God does not want it that way. Like He did with Nebuchadnezzar, He too can talk to us and take away everything that we had worked for. Not because He wanted to harm us...but to make us humble and give the credit to Him that make it possible for us to reach our dreams.

Anyway,  this passage reminds me to be humble and gives God all the credit no matter what I have accomplished, big or small. After all, He is the source of our lives, strengths and talents. Without Him, we wouldn't be here on earth.

- True humility credits God in every success!
" Help us Lord, to see succeses
In the context of Your grace;
Keep us from all pride and boasting
That ignores Your rightful place. -Sper

Are you carrying a heavy load?

Do you feel that it is difficult to carry all your burdens? Do you want someone to take them over for you?

Galatians 6:2
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ?

Sounds difficult for me to understand or put into practice because I am a type of person who does not want to put my burdens on other people because I think that each and everyone has their own burdens to carry. In addition, I too feel many times that I have more than enough of my own burdens that I couldn’t carry more of others. Don’t you feel the same?

But then God says:

 1. Peter 5:7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Then it dawned on me that God understand that as humans, it will be too heavy for us to carry so much load. That is why, after taking each other’s problems on our shoulders, he said that we could give those loads to him. It is like a teamwork. He wants us to work together and afterwards, take him, the strongest one as the leader. The one who will find the solutions. Then we don’t need to be concerned. What a relief! Now, we don’t have to be troubled to take each other’s burdens. We can just give them to God later in prayer and thanksgiving and believe that He will lead us to how we can be of help to one another and to those people that He are sending into our paths that needs assistance. We can give a support not with our own strength and knowledge, but God’s strength, provisions and love.

He reminds me:

And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

For me it means that the more we became weaker, the more we will receive God’s strength and His power. Isn’t that amazing?
So what are the burdens you are carrying? Don’t you want to give those burdens unto God, so that he can carry them for you? For me, I am so glad that I don’t have to carry alone my burdens about some family members that are not surrendering their lives unto God and for those that are backsliding. In addition, friends that getting attracted more to the sparkling lights of this world than the source of light. Not to mention those that are dear to me who have difficulties in life financially and physically. And last, but not the least; my battles in everyday life. Now, it will be not my battles. It will be our battles, with God as the leader who leads us to triumph.

Thank you so much Father that you understand what we are going through and you wanted to be a part of our struggles and heartaches so that we can be joyful and be victorious in every circumstances, living our lives to the fullest.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

Are you a bird watcher?

This is my younger sister Lida. Me and our older sister visited her when she was in the hospital.

Here she is now, enjoying every moment of her life whenever she can.

Anyway, when we were there, I took lots of  pictures especially of the birds coz it was fun to watch them
living their own lives in the middle of the city of Stavanger.

alone

Are we not friends?

Just enjoying the day

Oh! It is cold out there

Maybe, I will give it a try t swim today

Hey! Are you cold?

Can you find a partner for me too?

I believe we stay on the ground

Having a picnic?

Did you notice the reflection in the water?

Birds that flock together stay together

Are you a bird watcher? Do you gaze at them with amazement?
So is God. But He is more than a mere observer who marvels at what He had made. Rather He knows the feeds, and constantly watches over all His creatures.

Jesus said: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not valuable tham they? Matthew 6:26

Dear God, thank you that you care for every creature that You made. Let us then appreciate everything that you created. Let us also appreciate ourselves as You do. Help us to remember how precious we are in your sight in the midst of the battles in life. I pray in Jesus name.

The arts!

Hello everyone! Hope you are doing fine.  Here in Norway, we are still in wintertime. Since I came from sunshine land, I am not pretty much outside during this kind of season here. So, I don't have much winter pictures to share. But I do still take pictures. This time in an art gallery. I am going to show you some of the pictures I took there this time and I write some qoutes in between to ponder.

Tell me then which one of the pictures and the quotes  you like the best at the end of the post.

If you want, you can see more of their arts in www. fenka.no
