Do you feel that it is difficult to carry all your burdens? Do you want someone to take them over for you?
Galatians 6:2
Carry each
other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ?
Sounds difficult for me to understand or
put into practice because I am a type of person who does not want to put my
burdens on other people because I think that each and everyone has their own
burdens to carry. In addition, I too feel many times that I have more than
enough of my own burdens that I couldn’t carry more of others. Don’t you feel
the same?
But then God says:
1. Peter
5:7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Then it dawned on me that God understand
that as humans, it will be too heavy for us to carry so much load. That is why,
after taking each other’s problems on our shoulders, he said that we could give
those loads to him. It is like a teamwork. He wants us to work together and
afterwards, take him, the strongest one as the leader. The one who will find
the solutions. Then we don’t need to be concerned. What a relief! Now, we
don’t have to be troubled to take each other’s burdens. We can just give them
to God later in prayer and thanksgiving and believe that He will lead us to how
we can be of help to one another and to those people that He are sending into
our paths that needs assistance. We can give a support not with our own
strength and knowledge, but God’s strength, provisions and love.
He reminds me:
And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is
made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
For me it means that the more we became
weaker, the more we will receive God’s strength and His power. Isn’t that
amazing?
So what are the burdens you are carrying?
Don’t you want to give those burdens unto God, so that he can carry them for
you? For me, I am so glad that I don’t have to carry alone my burdens about
some family members that are not surrendering their lives unto God and for
those that are backsliding. In addition, friends that getting attracted more to
the sparkling lights of this world than the source of light. Not to mention
those that are dear to me who have difficulties in life financially and
physically. And last, but not the least; my battles in everyday life. Now, it
will be not my battles. It will be our battles, with God as the leader who
leads us to triumph.
Thank you so much Father that you
understand what we are going through and you wanted to be a part of our
struggles and heartaches so that we can be joyful and be victorious in every
circumstances, living our lives to the fullest.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory
that overcomes the world, even our faith.
Joy, this is such an important and inspiring post. Often times we forget this, so thank you so much for the reminder and for your love and concern for others. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this encouraging word! I love the explanation of how, when we carry each other's burdens, we can then take all of those burdens to Him...our Burden Bearer!
ReplyDeleteI love that through our weaknesses, God's strength shows itself! I know I couldn't carry my burdens alone. He's here, with us every day, strengthening us for the journey!
ReplyDeleteAll for Him, Joan
We have all our own burdens , sometimes its getting heavy , but I feel relieved when I finally realize that there is a God whom I can share my burdens with, praise be to Him : )
ReplyDelete"Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."
ReplyDeleteThank you for these verses. In time that you needed someone to talk to and no one is available I guess these verses help a lot..i mean a lot! Just have faith on Him.
I am reminded that it is always God and not me. My mother would tell me a lot, "Pride goeth before a fall." Perhaps she could see I was proud of myself and taking too much credit. As an adults we must realize that God is our helper and without HIM we would certainly fail.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and encouraging words. Glad I stopped by. : )
