Mother and father's day at the same day?

Believe it! It is really true. In my case of course. Well, mother's day for me because on Sunday is my mother's birthday. She is going to be 75 years old and I am going to miss  being with her on that day. How I wish I could just take that long plane ride and celebrate birthday with her.Be with my siblings there, children and grandchildren whose going to visit mother on her birthday. But sadly, it will be another birthday that I am going to miss. I missed her birthdays in almost 24 years now...

To my mother who sacrificed much for her children and grandchildren and for every effort that you made to make us feel special; I just want to wish you more fruitful years. Although many of your children lives abroad, you will always be in our thoughts, prayers and you have a special place in our hearts. May you feel God's presence when you are alone, so that you will be comforted, when you need extra strenght so that you can still do your everyday chores, when you need to see and hear cleary, when you get sick and when you lay your head on your pillow. I love you and will always care for you. don't forget; you are loved!

Well, how about father's day? Well, on Sunday, second Sunday in the month of November is Father's day in Norway. So, I want to greet my father who passed away 21 years ago, my son and my ever dearest husband.

Well, if I am my youngest daughter, how shall I described my father?

I feel it will be like this:

He is to me a foundation that cannot be shaken

A helping hand when I needed one

The one who prepared the table for me all these years

Who cleans my mess

 Who gives me the best advice

Who taught me to be independent

To do my best

and the one I can lean on no matter what.
