Since I began blogging for over a year now, the whole world suddenly laid bare before me. Waiting to be explored. I never thought that there are so much treasures to find. I became a blog addict. Sounds negative word, but for me it has been positive. Suddenly I have friends all over the world young and young once like me:) But each and everyone has made my life more meaningful and colorful. I learned a lot and seen a lot through other blogs. And not only that, I developed myself too in many areas of my life.
But, the negative of blogging is it takes much of my time because after work I use hours in reading blogsposts, writing my own and editing pictures to publish. Result: my stamina went down to almost zero level.
Being fifty, I have to think of my health. So I decided to do something about it. It does not mean that I am going to stop blogging. But maybe going to use less hours on it because I began going to the gym. Three times a week of training, Zumba dancing, Pilates and yoga. And I am really enjoying it.
And that is for my body! But wait a minute. How about my spiritual life?
Good to be reminded by God that as I take care of my physical body, I have to take care of my soul and spirit too.
God is saying that I shall not live by bread alone, meaning just feeding my physical body, but I have to feed myself with his words. That is the right thing to do. And he said too:
So God is telling me that what good it is for me if I will be popular in blog world and have a good physical body if I neglect my soul. Those things won't bring me to heaven. His advice:
Yes, I found the secret! To be successful in everything I do whether blogging, handcrafting, photography, training , in my job or in evey area of my life...I should be obedient to the word of God.
That I need God's wisdom to set my priority straight! How about you? Are you a blog addict too?
JOY

ReplyDeleteThanks melgie. Happy weekend:)
DeleteYon nga importante. Balance melgie:)
DeleteGreat post, Joy. You are right... We need a good balance in our lives. I used to blog every single day... I finally realized that that was WAY too much. I now blog 3 days a week--and it works much better for me. BALANCE---that is the key.
ReplyDeleteI love your blogs --and will enjoy them whenever you post them. Beautiful photos and scriptures also today.
Hugs,
Betsy
Thanks Betsy. Like your blog too:) yes, balance is very important in every area of our lives:)
DeleteVery inspiring, in this genre more often people spend most of their time starring at their computer. Only to find out the view outside is way much better if we only willing to get sweat. I used to be like that i guess when you have nothing to do. But when the real life hits you and requires you to get up early and takes all your energy and time. Then the last thing that u wanna do on ur rest day is your computer. However i love blogging coz i used to meet and get intouch with great people like you . Thanks ate joy keep sharing!
ReplyDeleteLike blogging too coz I am meeting people like you too:)
DeleteHello Joy.

Good Sunday Marit.
Thanks marit:) same to you:)
DeleteHi Joy,
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunning post. The words, the beauty in the scriptures you chose all wrapped around the oh so beautiful photography. This post is proof positive that the Lord knows each of us and desires to bring out the best in our lives. The new balance in your life is not taking away from your blogger friends, but I believe, giving us even more of the beauty of Joy! Just beautiful, my friend.
May your week be blessed.
Lynn
Thank you so much for your heartwarming comment Lynn:)

DeleteWelcome jon and thanks for the visit:)
Joy, you are muy busy naman. GOod luck and enjoy the things that make you happy and healthy. :-)
ReplyDeleteAko rin nga, naging busy. Each night, nanonood kami ng asawa ko ng old TV show sa DVD. I have less time for blogging and reading blogs and stuff, but I believe that spending time with my husband and nurturing my marriage, at least for na hour each night, is a higher priority. :-)
And yes, your post is a timely reminder.... thanks. :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Joy, I think we all become blog addicts when we first start. But now I have been blogging many years and I spend less time looking for new blogs. Instead I am reading the many blogs I already follow but I do this very quickly as I am a fast reader. If you want to have time for God, for health, for family, for life, and blogging, it all has to be balanced. Good for you for learning that. God bless and hope to see you from time to time at my blog ;-). xx
ReplyDeletesobrang nakakaadik... especially now that we have alot of blogger friends, I enjoy hearing updates from them.. pero ciempre important pa rin ang health...
ReplyDeletepara po sakin, sulit ang pagba-blog, hindi lamang sa mga bagong kaibigan na ating nakikilala, may mga bago pa tayong kaalaman na magagamit at mase-share natin sa iba :)
ReplyDeleteblogging is addicting.. but of course we should limit ourselves besides there's more to life! but if we can balance everything then we're good to go! haha parang ang gulo ng sinabi ko.. good to know that you're enjoying mama Joy ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a very powerful post! amen for that Ms. Ligaya!
ReplyDeleteTnx for dropping by on my site!
Mami Joy, tama po yang ginagawa nyo right now. Ang kalusugan nyo muna ang dapat i-prioritize. Mas masarap mag blog pag healthy at maganda ang pakiramdam diba? :))
ReplyDeleteThose inspiring words are very uplifting.
i think it's good to be into blogging especially when we find things helpful for our self-improvement :) go lang po! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand, love you.
ReplyDeleteReally enlightening :) We must know how to prioritize things and give just the right amount of time to the things we like.
ReplyDeleteKaya pala fit na fit at sexy ka Ms Joy! Keep it up :)
I am a blog addict too Joy! But this time I try to lessen my time sitting in front of my computer.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy,
ReplyDeleteYou are the winner of one of The Old Rugged Cross Coasters. I am giving one coaster to 4 blog members. Please, take a few minutes to comment on the blog announcement (http://prayernotesbycynthia.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-old-rugged-cross-coaster-winners.html) and leave the address or P.O. Box, for mailing, at this email. Do not leave an address on the blog. Blessings!
Thank you so much Cynthia. It is an honor
DeleteOh, great post !
ReplyDeleteBlogging brings a whole new meaning to life. You become friends with people from faraway and even from previously unknown places. You wait for their new posts, read all their old posts and they in turn read everything you write and have written. You support each other with no strings attached like in real life. You get sooo many birthday wishes from people who you never have seen, much more than real life around. It is amazing !
Well, it can sometimes glue you to your couch but the best way to find a solution to it is blog about it too, lol. Well, some follower will come with a remedy to it too !
Let me also tweak my work outs, lately getting more glued :) to the couch because of blogging, more followers, their comments, replies etc. Thanks for the eyeopener ! lol !
Have a great fun filled happy week ahead, Joy !
