Hi everyone! I haven't posted anything in the last few days because I have been sick...not  a serious one and had been busy with all the the things that should be done.

Well, anyway, just some updates from me, just in case someone misses me out there:)

Today, after work, I baked banana muffins to be served to the elderly when we visit them on Sunday to share God's words and love to them

I do manage to make three pairs of potholders

The weather this week changed all the time.

Snowday

No snow 

Or else I am busy packing because next Friday, I am going to the Philippines to visit my family there. So, I am excited:)

 Well, after all the updates from me, hope to hear from you too!

Leaving you words to ponder at the end of this post. 

Is there anyone who wants to suffer? To be lonely and live and fear?

 How about losing everything? 

I believe that no one wants their hearts to be ripped.

 Shred to pieces? 

Not to mention to be sick and to die.

 We sometimes get hurt and hurt others as well. 

But whether we want it or not...it happens.

 So the best thing we can do is be there for others,

 as we like others to be there for us. Forgive and just love all year round.

Pattern and power..

Whom do we follow?

 Are we following Jesus footsteps? 

How about feeling like giving up because no matter what we do, we can't do it perfectly or wholeheartedly?

 Too much disturbances and temptations in life. 

We see sufferings everywhere and wonder where God is? Problems never cease to come?

In addition, we ought to live by these words:

"I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who lives, but Christ live in me. Gal. 2:20

Seems impossible for us to do so. Isn't it?

We have to keep our selfie dead everyday and let Christ be alive in us.

But believe it or not...it is the best thing we could ever do in every aspect of our lives. 

There is freedom in it and all the burdens be lifted up from our shoulders.

Dear God,

 let our lives be an essence for Your kingdom.

 Let us us bow down to Your throne and worship You with every bit of our hearts. 

Let us rejoice because we found You as the Savior of our souls.

Thank You because You girded us with strength when we stumble.

 You lend a helping hand so that we can remain standing during our battles in life.

Today's prayer for you and me:

Dear God,

 I pray that whenever we see a need,

 we will not be reluctant to help. 

To lend a helping hand. 

Be a good example like You did.

 I pray that we will not be afraid to launch out into the deep,

 or climb on top of a mountain,

no matter how hard it can be. 

I pray that we will continue to be obedient,

 although we don't see any results.

 We might fail many times, 

but thank You for new chances You gives every day. 

At the end, the outcome will be great. 

I pray that we will share the blessings that You provides for us

 and that we will remain humble in all that we achieved. 

Thank You for Your amazing works.

Unforgettable bonding!

Time goes so fast, but some days seems to be unforgettable than others. This weekend had been a very special weekend for me and for those that were with me. 

It began with a beautiful day as you can see. It was a gift from above.

We were going to visit our younger sister who has been very sick and we really missed her.

Our cousin Celeste who lives in the city was also coming with us. We slept over on her place because we were going to take an early flight the day after. She and her husband made a very delicious dinner for us and we felt that we were in a first class hotel with a first class service. 

Anyway, the weather was also amazing the day of our flight. Our sister lives in a place called Vigrestad.

Since our sister  Lida was very weak, we didn't expect her to fetch us at the airport. We thought that it was only Petter ( her love) who was going to be at the airport when we arrive. But she was there and even rented a big car so that there will be a place for all of us and that we can have a sightseeing while we were there. We were really very touched because she forced herself to be strong to be there to meet us.

 At the left, Minda a close friend of us, was also with us to visit Lida.

 So  here we are: our  cousin Celeste, my older sister Lourdes, younger sister Lida and me.

We stopped by here to take some pictures. It was blowing so hard, but we had fun!

My younger sister was not in the condition to cook, but she served homemade Philippines food which she ordered from another Filippina friend. In addition, she invited Lilli her closed friend there, whom I am longing to meet in person to dinner. We reallly had a wonderful time with her. She was a very kind and fine lady. We liked her very much.

Petter,  is an amazing man who loves our sister unconditionally.It  shows in action and words. We are really thankful for his unconditional love.

We were blessed with a beautiful sunset that evening.

Not only that, Petter showed us a video of him and Lida where they were in the Philippines in 2013. Then we poured our hearts to each other. We cried, we laughed and we prayed.  We reminisced the good times we had with each other and chose to believe that things will get better.

Lida showed us her bridal gown and as you can see, is very beautiful. 

Time to go home the day after.  We were also blessed with a wonderful weather.

Petter drove us first to a shopping mall nearby to do some shopping while Lida went to her therapist.

With this, I will not say goodbye to  my dearest sister Lida. I say, until we meet again.

Eyes only for you!

Yes, it is Valentines day. 

We supposed to be celebrating love to the fullest.

 How it is to be feel loved by someone who only have eyes on you? Amazing isn't it?

My husband... I believed have only eyes on me and I am pretty sure that it is the other way around. 

But even though our eyes turn in other directions...I am pretty much assured that love is still there and we feel safe. 

But there is someone whose eyes never cease to look on us with love and compassion. Eyes that direct us to the right way we should go. And that is the eyes of the most Holy One. 

That is what I call true love

How about you? Where do you focus your eyes? To whom do you show your love?

How do we sanctify our hearts? How do we defend ourselves?

How can we pray with thanksgiving when the storm is rummaging our lives?

 When we don't get healed of sickness?

 When we feel alone or rejected? When those we love suffers?

Someone quoted:

O what peace we often forfeit,

O what needless pain we bear

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer.

- Thankfullness in prayer can lift a load of care.

Prayer:

 Dear God, thank You that You are our haven in the midst of the storm in our lives.

 No one can separate us from Your love whether we live or die. 

Thank You for the comfort when we are sick. 

To be able to put our lives into Thy hands. 

Thank You for You promise not to leave us or forsake us so we will never be alone.

Phil.4:6

 In everything by prayer and suplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
