How can we pray with thanksgiving when the storm is rummaging our lives?
When we don't get healed of sickness?
When we feel alone or rejected? When those we love suffers?
Someone quoted:
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.
- Thankfullness in prayer can lift a load of care.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You that You are our haven in the midst of the storm in our lives.
No one can separate us from Your love whether we live or die.
Thank You for the comfort when we are sick.
To be able to put our lives into Thy hands.
Thank You for You promise not to leave us or forsake us so we will never be alone.
Phil.4:6
In everything by prayer and suplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Hi Joy, such a beautiful post this morning. Yes, we are to come before His throne in thankfulness because truly without Him, we are and have nothing. Again, beautiful

DeleteIt is good to give thanks to the Lord in prayer ... but when difficult and trying times come its very hard to do ...
ReplyDeleteYou are right Edgar, but it really helps to find something to be thankful about;)
DeleteBeautiful post & photo! Praise God that we can boldly approach His throne 24/7 and know that He will hear us and answer for our good according to His perfect will!

DeleteBoa tarde, cada dia um dia, cada dia de sobrevivência é um dia de luta, é assim que os mais desprotegidos pensam diariamente.

Joy, what a beautiful post....thank you so much. I love the orchids in that photo, too!
ReplyDeleteYour photo is very beautiful and I appreciated the prayer.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day, Joy
It is truly so much easier tl be grateful when things are going smoothly. Then again the Bible tells us tl bw grateful at "all times" and not when times are okay. Thanks Joy. It is a challenge that we must all strive to get past. You've put it all well.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy! This is a great reflection for me today, as I feel so tired from this silly leg. Just to lift myself up and say, thank you Lord for the health I have, and the healing you are completing in secret in me. I know that will give me peace.
ReplyDeleteBless you!

This was JUST what I needed to read tonight. "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" is one of my favorite songs. Thank you for sharing what God laid upon your heart and for being such a wonderful encourager to me and to so many others. Love you, sweet friend.

ReplyDeleteHello Joy,
ReplyDeleteYou have asked the questions and provided an amazing answer. We should pray not only when are in difficulties and troubles and when we want something but also thank God at all times even when we are happy and satisfied. What ever blessings we have in this life are the gift of God and we don't really don't deserve them. We are better than many other people in this world. There is so much suffering, poverty, sickness and anguish. We are truly blessed by God and we have to thank HIM continuously and constantly.
Wonderful post.
Best wishes.
beautiful Joy.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely flowers!
ReplyDeleteNew to your blog. I found your link through Miss N's blog.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, every day or should I say, every second of our lives should be filled with gratefulness and thanksgiving.
