Unforgettable Sunday!

It snowed all night, so this how it looked like outside, when we woke up Sunday morning.

But still, there was beauty around.

Since it snowed, it was too cold to walk, so we hired a cab to bring us to the church to attend  Aksel's christening. Lindsey and Chrstian youngest son. Me still wearing my pink coat, but I do change my dress inside:)

Here are the family on the way to the altar.

Lindsey's sister Cecilie and my daughter were  the godmothers.

After the christening. Sweet pictue of the family.

Anyway, everybody went to Lindsey and Christian's lovenest after the ceremony.

The table was very nice decorated by Lindsey.

cute flower decor

this is my place

the gift table

Lindsey and Christian thanked us all for coming. We were teary eyed because it was a very special occasion that bond us together, even though her mother was not there. We seldom see each other because of the distance.

Foods that were served

Asparagus wrapped in ham and sprinkeld with cheese

Rolled salmon

tuna sandwich

green salad

sliced tomatoes and white cheese

fried potatoes with baked bread

meat balls

chocolate cake, cream cake and tiramishu

Meet the happy guests: Cecilie ( Lindsey's sister) with her family

Tracy Ann, the youngest sister

My youngest daughter  Kamilla and Lindsey's parents-in-law

Since my sister, the original grandma coundn't be there, I was the substitute....

and our older sister.

Joachim helped his younger brother to unpacked the gifts and showed what was inside for him. Nice gesture:)

Saying goodbye with this picture of the kids enjoying unwrapping the gift and playing with the gift wrapper:)

  8. so much snow, at least it didn't ruin the events. Here when it snows, it's so hard to drive (we aren't very prepared for the weather) so many plans do get ruined.

  13. Ahhh--what an incredible day that must have been. The baby is gorgeous --and so are the parents.. Looks like you had a fantastic dinner following the Christening… I'm still sorry that your sister couldn't be there… BUT--I'm sure she is enjoying all of the photos.

    Hugs,
