Yes, we had waited, we were excited, stressed, happy and looked forward for this day. We greeted each other in facebook, blogworld, by phone, skype, and with written cards and finally....
Christmas day!
While the man of the house was busy preparing our dinner, me and my daughter took the chance of taking picture of each other. Ready for the day. No pictures of my hubby and his mother. They just wanted to be at the back of the scenes.
Here was our dinner. A typical Norwegian Christmas food. Spareribs, sausages and meatballs.
Ready to be served. To be eaten with cooked carrots and potatoes, sauerkraut, gravy, cranberries, and prunes
Kamilla is pouring something to drink on our glasses. We had redwine, Chrismas soda, aquavit to choose to drink with the food. I choose the soda:)
This is the wine. My daughter asked me to taste, but one sip was enough for me.
So after saying Happy Birthday Jesus, we savor the foods and we had porridge with red sauce as dessert. Typical Norwegian Christmas dessert.
Chocolate with coffee later.
Anyway, we played scrabble and brainstorming before we opened the gifts.
Here are the gifts that I received this Christmas. Thank you everyone who had given me these presents:)
For cake serving.. reason to bake more.)
A new hair blower. One of my wishes because the one that I am using does not function properly.
winter stockings
Yarn to crochet. One of my wishes come true:)
necklace
Tea light holders with decorated matches
gym suits...inspiration to exercise even more:)
My favorite: Jesus was born. The reason of the season. A gift from my sister and brother-in-law.
Finally, what I really need:)
So that was our Christmas Eve celebration. Still wishing everyone " Merry Christmas".
Dinner for today will be at my mother-in-law's house
How about you? How was your Christmas Eve?
