A life fullof grace

 A Life Full of Grace

Chapter 7: My Grandchildren – The Joy of My Heart

At 49 years old, I already have six grandchildren. Each of them holds a special place in my heart. They are my living blessings, my sunshine on rainy days, and the proof that love grows stronger with every generation.

Jan Andrei

My first grandchild, a boy named Jan Andrei, is now ten years old. He loves to draw and sing—passions that have already earned him many medals in school competitions. I still remember the moment he sang at his sister’s 7th birthday party. It moved me to tears, tears of joy and pride. He was the first to capture my heart in that special way only a grandchild can.

He looks like his father, my eldest son, who in turn says his boy resembles me. Well, I’m not quite sure about that, but it warms my heart every time I hear it.

His father, my firstborn, is a hardworking man. I am incredibly proud of what he has achieved in life. Like father, like son, they say—and I believe it. Thanks be to God.

Candice

My second grandchild, Candice, is Jan Andrei’s little sister. She was born on her father’s birthday, and she is very much a daddy’s girl.

Candice loves to dance and is doing very well in school. She is bright, graceful, and one of the little princesses I deeply adore.

Zimon

My third grandchild is Zimon, the son of my second daughter. He’s six years old and always bursting with energy. Maybe he takes after me—he he.

He is always on the go, lively, and full of curiosity. His mother often worries because he gets sick often, but thank God he’s strong and growing. Zimon loves fishing, and his little aquarium at home is packed full—so much so, the fish barely have room to swim! He’s the family clown, always making us laugh.

His mother, my second child, was also frequently ill when she was young, and I worried about her just as much. But she grew into a strong, loving woman and mother. Her heart is full of kindness, always reaching out to help others.

Zimon’s Little Sister

My fourth grandchild is Zimon’s little sister—another one of my precious princesses.

She is a sweet soul who loves to pray. She prays for everyone in the family. One day, she prayed for God to help her do better in school because she wanted to make her mommy happy. And He answered her prayer! Everyone was surprised by how much she improved. She has a heart of gold, just like her mother.

Ethan

My fifth grandchild is Ethan, the son of my youngest daughter in the Philippines. He is adventurous and full of mischief—in the best possible way.

One time, we went to feed fish at a pond. As long as the fish were in the water, they were safe—because Ethan thinks everything is a toy! When I’m with him, I don’t need any exercise; he keeps me moving all day long. He he. He loves to swim, and his parents always take him to the beach or the pool whenever they can.

His mother, Michelle, is my second-youngest daughter. She’s an incredibly organized woman who arranges all our out-of-town trips whenever I visit the Philippines. With her, I don’t have to worry about a thing. She even cooks delicious meals for me.

Aerith

My youngest grandchild is Aerith, the baby daughter of my eldest son. She is simply adorable. Another of my beloved princesses.

Each of my grandchildren brings something unique and beautiful into my life. They are my joy, my laughter, and my greatest blessings.

And this story? It doesn’t end here.
Until next time...

[Author’s Note:]
Being a grandmother at this age may seem surprising to some, but to me, it's a gift. This chapter is just one of many that make up the beautiful story of my life.
