Meet my new husband!

Are you shock? New husband? But this is how it began. In the Activity center where I work, I try to make something out of what the elderly manage to knit. I then sewed together knitted squares of different colors,  knitted  a head, sewed  hair of yarn  and put eyes, nose and mouth on it. Then an elderly saw what I made and ask me if I made myself a new husband. I answered her " yes." That is why a new husband for me was born. The elderly gave him a name which is " Kalle Lazarus". So say hello to my new husband:) But, this new husband of mine belongs to the activity center. The elderly said that we can use my husband as a prize for a lottery that we used to have at work. So I hope I win this time:) By the way, an elderly knitted the scarf for my husband.

                                                    Kalle Lazarus

Anyway, one day I was out for a walk with an elderly and we went to a shopping mall. We found  a lot of interesting things as you can see.

Meet the the hens and the chickens!

Actually, these are not for sale. They are only models. If one is interested, the shop sells materials and instructions how to do these figures.

Guess what? I found these couple very interesting.  Meet Mr. and Ms. Santa

I thought of my mother-in-law who is very fond of these creatures, so I bought materials for Ms.
Santa. I thought that I can try to make this one as a gift to the mother of my husband for Christmas. Since I don't know how long it will take me to knit Ms. Santa, I started at once so that it would be finished before Christmas.

So these  are  some of the different parts before I crotheted the sweater and the laces. After that I washed the pieces in the washing machine so that it would shrink according to the instruction.

After a week, I have now a finished product:)  My knitted Ms. Santa is a litlle bit chubby than the original, but I was satisfied with what I did. I hope my mother-in-law will like it.

Anyway, I was so inspired making stuff toys, so I made some more. Meet my doggies.

I crocheted the different parts before I sewed them together.

So this is Pluto

This is Estella. The elderly gave them the names:)

Mother and the puppy.

Right now, I am making a kangaroo. You will meet her soon:)

Interesting facts about fruits... I had no idea that lemons had more sugar than strawberries... Amazing. I do know, since I have to eat FIBER, that strawberries contain quite a bit of fiber. Love them!!!!
