Tears of joy!

Since I already got a bouquet of flowers from my youngest daughter Kamilla two days before Mothers day, ( second Sunday of february)  I didn't imagine that she will have a surprise for me on the exact day. Best gift ever I receive on Mothers day. It made me cry.

                                  My daughter Kamilla

She gave me this big envelope! I thought it was a big card.

I wondered what was inside!

I found this:

It is a website on Star online register and I have now a star with my name.

This is how my star look like after following the coordinates given. The name of the star is Ligaya
 ( JOY)

I don't really know if it is true, but the thought that my daughter did it for me was touching. But what made me really cry was her letter that was included in the gift.

Tears already flowed from my eyes in the first sentence. Because in this house, it is actually me who always voice out what I feel. So this is very new to me. First love letter I got from my youngest daughter.

It said in the letter:

"To the best mother in the world:

I have known you for almost twenty years of my life. In the last few years, our relationship has grown better, and we are closer to each other than ever, which I really appreciate. We have learned to get to know each other better, over the years.
After many years of misunderstanding each other and arguing, we now have a  fantastic mother and daughter relationship. I could not have a better mother than you. It is you who knows me best, although I say the opposite.
You are kind, thoughtful and always put others higher than yourself. This is how it makes you a special person and also a fantastic mother, not only to me but to my brother and sisters who lives in the other side of the world.

I bought a star in the sky for you, to show you how much you meant to me. From the starry sky and back, so much I love you.

Thank you so much for being  the person you are, mom. I love you."

With that I am thanking my daughter for making this Mother's day very special to me. A letter that I will cherish in my heart.

Be happy or be sad?

Did you come to a point in life where you don't really know if you are going to mourn or to be a happy in what is currently happening in your life?

This month is a month where my feelings goes up and down. Happy because of the flowers I got on mother's day and I am sure I am going to receive flowers too in Valetimes day. But....

I just pondered over my sister's lives. The two of them  were born in the  month of february. One is older than me and her name is Lourdes and the other is younger than me and her name is Eden.

                               My older sister Lourdes

As I pondered over their names and lives, I wondered if they are happy in their current situation.

My older sister name is Lourdes. How I shall define her? Her  name was derived from " Our lady of Lourdes and was born in the 11th of february.

Our Lady of Lourdes is a title of the Blessed Virgin Mary invoked by Roman Catholics in honor of the Marian apparitions which are said to have taken place before various individuals on separate occasions around LourdesFrance.
Most prominently among these is the apparition of 11 February 1858, when Saint Bernadette Soubirous, a 14-year-old peasant girl admitted to her mother that a "lady" spoke to her in the cave of Massabielle, (a mile from the town) while gathering firewood with her sister and a friend.[1]

Actually, she has been a good example for me. Very patient woman and careful with her words. While I am trying to be that way, but it is difficult coz I am an impatient woman and loves to talk.

What I mean with that I am impatient  is if I am thinking of doing something, I have to do it once  coz I don't like waiting. And sometimes, I talk to much that half of my words should be  more than enough. Oh! Thanks God for blogworld. Here I can write my thoughts:)

Not only that, she loves gardening and  loves to cook. Well, I am not so fond of gardening. Reminds me of the life that I hated before. Planting rice under a scorching heat of the sun.
But I do love flowers though:) And I love to eat her strawberries in summertime and her flower plants that she gives to me! Lucky me! Well, I believe she is happy with her life. Although she has no children of her own, while I have many, but she has a very kind husband that loves her so dearly. And she has been a supportive sister and an aunt. A saint!

This is my younger sister Eden

Eden, the youger one who has birthday in February 12 is another type of person. Her name reminds me of the garden of Eden where Adam and Eva started their carrier.
But Eden's paradise has so many thorns and that makes her life very hard. I remember once she said that I am her idol. Well, she did a lot of things similar to what I did. Didn't finished studies, get pregnant very early,  but finished college when her children are grown ups like me and she is also working abroad ( Middle East). But while she is in a hot country without so much freedom, I am here in a cold country and free to do what I want and go where I want.
What I like about my sister is no matter what, she can laugh at her problems and believe that everything will gonna be alright.

Her words from FB:
Thank GOD,even though I dont have material gifts on my coming birthday, I already received from u, the peace of mind that I have right now. Thank you so much,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Love you GOD,LOVE u LORD¨

Although she is not going to be very happy on her birthday because she is far away from her family and not free to go anywhere where wants, but I thank God that she  feels blessed and trying to see the bright sides of life. I wish I can make her name come true. That her life will flourish like the garden of Eden. Be a haven for those that need rest, joy, peace and blessings. But although I can't, God can in His perfect time.

In the same day, our cousin has the same birthday. Her name is Celeste.

But her mother, our aunt just passed away and she will be having birthday and funeral at the same time. So we have sorrow in our hearts, but at the same time peace that her mother is having her celebration with Jesus now.

Thankful woman!

In the past few days, I really feel that I have  lots of things to be grateful about.

Norway, in difference from other countries, celebrates mother's day in the second Sunday of February. And who's the lucky woman this time? Well, it is supposed to be me and all the mother's in Norway. Because the children normally serve breakfast in bed to their mothers with cake and flowers. But at home, my daughter does not normally do that, because I don't want to eat breakfast or cake in bed too early in the morning.

Yesterday she gave me two flower bouquets as a mother's gift on Sunday.  One from her father who is now ombord the ship and one from her.

This is from my youngest daughter. Isn't she thoughtful?

And this is from my husband. How sweet!

Well, thanks to them. I am so grateful.

Now, another story. A story about a seaman and his asian wife:)

For those that had been following my blog knows that I am married with a seaman and I came from Asia. ( Philippines)
Last Christmas I made a seaman stuff doll as a gift to him.

But then I promised that I am going to make him a wife. A me stuff doll. And now, after more than a month, he has now a wife.

Hope they look like us. But anyway, I believe that they are going to live happily ever after. Now, I have to make our daughter too. And that is in another post:)

Another thing to be thankful is this picture. It really touched my heart. A thank you card with the pictures of PBO members and the children in White Cross Childrens Homes

Thank you guys for work well done. God bless you all. I am so happy to be part of it.

Anyway,  we celebrate also Fastlavn day on Sunday!

Fastelavn is the name for Carnival in Denmark and Norway which is either the Sunday or Monday before Ash Wednesday. Fastelavn evolved from the Roman Catholic tradition of celebrating in the days before Lent, but after Denmark became a Protestant nation, the holiday became less specifically religious. This holiday occurs seven weeks before Easter Sunday and is sometimes described as a Nordic Halloween, with children dressing up in costumes and gathering treats for the Fastelavn feast. The holiday is generally considered to be a time for children's fun and family games.¨

What is love?

Yes, it is  february! The love month and everybody...well almost, talks about love. Love with out partner and with partner. How to be happy with and without.

Lucky me I have many.....

Don't get me wrong. Many because I love many. My hubby, children, grandchildren, sisters, my mother and so on. But since God said that you will leave your father and mother to be with your husband or wife, then I will talk about my husband. The love of my life.

I mean how I feel that he shows his love to me like:

Love is when you say you love me and I can see it in your eyes.

Love is a kiss on my cheek as you passed by.

Love is when dinner is served when I come home from work.

Love is when you shovel show in the driveway for me.

Love is when you listen attentively to what I say.

Love is when you google  a word for me so you can explain better to me the meaning of what asked.

Love is when you remind me of something that is important when I am so busy of other things.

Love is when you say good morning to me with a smile on your face.

Love is when you let me feel that you are proud of me.

Love is when you sett the table for breakfast while I prepare myself to work.

Love is when you call me everyday when you are ombord the ship.

Love is when you kiss me goodbye before I go to work.

Love is when you let me attend girls party although it will mean that you will be alone that night.

Love is when you put your arms around me to comfort me.

Love is taking time to walk with me.

Those signs of love from my hubby are just a few to mention. But I just feel that I am the luckiest woman in the world. I might be doing something good or nice to my husband since his love to me overflows. Thanks God for giving me such a wonderful husband and I love him very much.

Tomorow he is going ombord again and before he leaves I gave him a valentines gift to remind him of my love to him.

                                                                 It said:

I love you
You are the only one who has the key into my heart
Only you can make me feel  what I feel
I hope you understand how much you mean to me--
You mean everything.

But my husband's love cannot surpass Gods love.

How do I defines God's love?

God's love was his reason for creating the world

God's loves us  despite  what he knows about us.

God's love is bigger that any problem we have.

God's love can change life's outcome

God's love is total.

God's discipline, a sign of his love

God's love is sacrificial.

God's love has no bounderies.

God's love is comfort.

God's love is blessing.

God's love is wisdom.

God's love is guidance.

God's love saves.

God's love leads.

God's love forgives.

Well, the list are just my definition of God's love. Actually no one can measure God's love. It is endless!

How about you? What is love to you?

Happy love month to all!

JOY
