Affectionate!

My husband  giving me this wild  flowers that he picked when we were out for a walk.

His strong hand that touches me with love
that helps me  carry a heavy load
that put together my broken heart
that comforts me

I think of his eyes that looks to me with affection
that makes me feel that I am the most beautiful woman in the world

I think of his kind and soothing words
that makes me calm and reassured.

I think of how his actions
 makes me feel loved,
 honored,
taken cared of
 and respected

Then I thank God who created this affectionate man for me !

The beauty!

Not me, but the beauty of the sky photos these week. Yes, it is dark, cold and gloomy, but sun breaks in between and makes my world colorful! Hope you enjoy my skies as I did!

These are my beauties in wintertime.

Second hand!

Yes it is me...second hand, used and re-used and renewed.

Yes, there is hope for everyone.....or everything?

What I mean with that?

Well, me and my friend went to a second hand shop, but it looks like a new shop for us judging the appearance of the place.

                                                     Everything seems new!

But not all. Here is a blurred picture in one corner of the shop. Stuffs that they are selling for a give away price.

And look what I found that I bought!

Pot holder! Maybe I can crochet another pair?

A pair of centerpiece

Another centerpiece

Napking rings...

Candlesticks

And a treasure. A relic which my friend would love to have, but I saw it first.

I bought also a set of cups and saucers for a very low prize. Anyway, I was happy to purchase those second hands things which new for me and can re- use again.

Talking about old things or ancient, these pictures were sent by my daughter who is in Mexico right now. She went there  ( Chichen Itza) with other students.

                                                             Chichen Itza

which means “at the mouth of the well of Itza “, is the 2nd most visited archeological site of Mexico today. The Kukulkan Pyramid in Chichen-Itza which known as “El Castillo” (the castle), is one of the new seven wonders of the world elected in 07.07.2007. It is exactly 24 m. high considering the upper  platform. Apart from the Kukulkan Pyramid, in Chichen Itza there many other archaeological sites to visit, all carrying traces from Mayan Culture in many ways.

My daughter told me that  Chichen Itza is  a ruinby in Yucatan. The buildings (pyramids) are ruins from the 1800s. But it has been rebuild again and again to this day, to keep them. No one lives in the actual Chichen Itza, but it was a sacred place for the Maya Indians.

I believe this is an old method of twisting wool....

The students and the Mexicans...

And now my daughter second from the right.  A happy student in a place where the sun shines almost all year round. School area!

"Thought for the day"

The goal you set must be challenging.
At the same time, it should be realistic and attainable, not impossible to reach.
It should be challenging enough to make you stretch,
but not so far that you break.

Happy week end friends!
