Why don't you come home?

Even animals come home.

Last year, our beloved cat didn’t come home for fourteen days. I was very worried for her. I thought that something bad had happened to her. Maybe she got hit by the car or beaten by other bigger animals. My heart ached for our cat and I taught that she was already dead. But one afternoon, she came home dirty and hungry. And she was very thin.  Oh, joy filled my heart, because our cat was lost, but found her way back home. An instinct that tells her that being with us is  better than being on herself.

I just wonder, if God feels the same way when we are lost and can’t find our way home? I mean that his heart grieved for us? When we  had chosen to be on our own, and denied God’s existence in our lives? Like our cat did? Our cat tried to be on her own for many days. Luckily, she learned her lesson. She came back and we were so delighted that she entrusted her life unto us again.

I believe that God feels the same way. He is happy if we put our trust in him. To travel along with him in this dangerous world. To let his words be our guide and put our burdens unto him.

Jeremiah 8: 7 Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord.

Jeremiah reminded us that even the birds live according to the times and places and ways that the Lord has built for them. Only man seems determine to run to his own destruction.

We’ve been designed by a loving Creator who has given us every reason to want to come home . In his presence there is protection from being broken, love to endure and joy in the midst of trouble. There is hope, but outside is despair.

So if we are lost or trying to do it on our own, remember we can always come back home to God. He will received us with open arms and will provide a safe haven for us.

Anon said:
Oh keep my soul then, Jesus,
Abiding still with Thee;
And if I wander, teach me
Soon back to Thee to flee.

“Thought for the day”
It’s never too soon to come home to God.

Poble Espanyol

At last I am now at the end of my sharing of our vacation in Barcelona.  This is the last, but not the least of course.

Welcome to Poble Espanyol. This is an open-air museum where the tourists be able to see the sights of Spain without even leaving Barcelona, exploring its architecture, contemporary art, gastronomy and crafts, all in a singel visit.

We decided  to visit this place  day before we leave Barcelona because it is only a walking distance  from the hotel where we are staying.

This is the entrance

Come along and enjoy the walk with us. This place is really worth the visit.

I made a collage of the pictures so that I can show more of how the place looks like.

                                            made of stones part

This is a small church and how it looks inside. Beautiful and feels  holy.

out again to breath some  fresh air

                                                                  Their arts

Down to the right gives us an idea where we can use old knives, forks and spoons

Handmade crafts that they are selling. It is not allowed to take pictures inside.

Now, time to take some rest and enjoy their cuisines

Saying goodbye with these lovely creatures. They too are part of Barcelona:) Hope you enjoy the walk with us:)

The best of October month!

Times flies so fast and before I know it, October month is already here. What is so important with this month actually? Well for me, this month brings mixed feelings. For me it is both joy and sorrow.
Joy because three important men in my life was born this month. Sorrow because one of them is no longer with us anymore. Anyway, I just want to dedicate this post to them. Just want to let them know who they are to me.

Let me begin with the youngest Ethan who has birthday  on the fourth of October. He said that he wanted to be a chef when he grows up.

He is the son of my second daughter Michelle and her husband Ariel. His mother has psoriasis, but she is not ashamed of it, but works for the cause to help those that are suffering like her because of this skin disease.

Anyway, when Ethan was born, I was not really sure how I can be close to this sweet boy when he lives thousand miles away from me and we can only see each other once in a while. But Ethan really touches my heart. In the beginning, he had problem to say the word " lola" to me. It means grandma in English. He then begun to call me wowa for lola. Sweetest word I ever heard from him. And now, I just want to hear him calling me wowa. And although we seldom see each other he is very close to me. Everytime I'm on vacation in the Philippines, he just wanted to be on my side. He really is very dear to me and I know he feels that I really care for him when we are together.

Anyway here is  Ethan together with his cousins, which he loves to be together with. These are all my grandchildren for now. Love them all!

So Ethan, I just want to greet you happy, happy birthday. I wish I could be there to celebrate with you. I love you and I wish and pray that you will grow up wise and strong and be protected by God in every area of your life. I love you very much.

Then, the next birthday celebrant is my prince. The love of my life who turned 50 on the second day of this month.

                                                       To you dear:
You came into my life like the heat of the sun
You warmed my body and soul
You brighten my days
You made me alive again
You made me flourished
You put a smile on my face, made me feel young again
You made my heart beat faster and stomach to tingle
Your love reaches to the inner core of my heart
You touches my soul with your thoughtfulness
You make me feel beautiful, safe, loved, and valued
Thanks for everything you had done for me.
I love you very much and wishing you many more birthdays to come together with me.

And to my father who was born this month too, but no longer with us. I just want to say that I really miss you and I wish that you are still here with us so that you can hear our  greetings  on your birthday.  I wish that you had been here during our life's ups and downs.  How I wish too that me and grandchildren can give you a hug especially on your birthday. But anyway, we are sending our kisses to you there in heaven.

And last but not the least, happy 2nd year blog anniversary to me. Yes, I did survive and posted 372 blogpost. Thank you for all who followed me and read my posts. Hope to continue blogging to be inspired and be an inspiration to others too. To learn more and to get to know many wonderful people in blogworld.

Park Guell in Barcelona

After our visit to Sagrada Familia, we went ot this Park to breath some fresh air. Me and my hubby agreed that we will just relax and won't seek high places anymore.

Park Guell ( according to the info) is named after Gaudi's great patron, Count Eussebi Guell. Although initially planned as residential garden city in English style ( hence the name park) the initiative was unsuccessfull and only one showhouse was built, like the one which was Gaudi's home and today houses the museum devoted to the architect behind Sagrada Familia.  Finally , Guell donated the park to the municipal councel in 1923 and since then it was belonged to the municipality and been a unique public park enjoying a prime location.

We are now at the entrance left side.

In front of us

  right side

So we just have to explore the place, but then again, we have to walk  upwards to see the whole park. So we don't have any choice, do we?

Grandma needs to rest for a while.. how about you?

The goal is to climb up there.....

To see the view

More to see up here

At last, time to go down the stairs...again

Look at the ceiling of this architecture. Amazing

But when there are lots of tourist around, there are lots of vendors too selling their crafts.

I did buy some necklaces to a vendor who had to run later because it was not allowed to sell things inside the park. How could I know?

Some more photos that I took during our ride in the tourist bus on the way back to the hotel.

Saying goodbye with this heart shape tree

and this special tree

Hope you enjoy the tour to the park.

See you next time in Poble Espanjol
