Yes! It is not everyday that the sun visit us her in my place, but this day it came. At the same time there would be a feast in the town where we live. That too is not often. So after doing my housechores early in the morning, me and my hubby went to town. We just walked because the weather was nice and it was good for the body and soul of the oldies like us:)
So come along, we will take you to the feast!.
Shadows of the trees along the road.
Well, you know me...the flower girl:)
Well, I will tell you what is happening here: Ørland main station ( a place where some of the NATO and local soldiers work celebrated their 60-year's anniversary.
So they wanted to show to the people what they have inside the station as you can see.
Ready for battle anytime!
Young real soldiers posed for me
a fake one, but sweet
I must of course have a selfie picture with their F-16
grandma needed some rest
dogs were out too
a parade
for the kids
free food for everyone
Elisabeth " Bettan" Andreassen , a well known song artist came to entertain the people.
Some young artists. They were really good!
and the future artists.. still trying hard:)
Well, we did enjoy the feast. How about you?
Anyway, after that, we went to my mother-in-law birthday celebration...more food and more fun. But no pictures there. She does not want any publicity:)
How about you? How was your weekend?

ReplyDeleteThe feast there looks different than how we celebrate it here. Speaking of, the village where I currently live just celebrated their feast last Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSå artig og spennende dag du har hatt Joy, så fine bilder og været var strålende det kan ikke bli bedre.
ReplyDeleteMaritklem.
Your photos refresh me - especially in these hot months when our desert terrain is so dry! My husband grew up in an Italian neighborhood and there was a feast every July and the food was out of this world!
